Walther and Stettner investigate the murder of a homeless woman in Berlin's Tiergarten. It seems that this was not an one-off case...

Dr. Waldorf, a physician is found murdered in his office. Suspect is Baumgarten, the director of the waste recycling company on whose behalf several of the doctor's patients, had regularly shipped cargoes of toxic waste, is also killed. The motive seems clear: a cover-up of criminal environmental pollution on a large scale. But who were the perpetrators?

Schimanski seeks relaxation on the soccer field. And there, a man is beaten to death, apparently the victim of the increasingly brutal brawls between soccer fans. Is the dead man really the victim of the fans, or did he have something to do with the illegal recruitment of foreign workers, or did he perhaps want to monetize his knowledge and was therefore eliminated?

Schimanski helps restaurant owner Guido against blackmailers, as a friend and as a professional, 'cause he is supposed to solve the murder of a boxer who must have something to do with this protection racket. But what is Guido his roll?
